This letter was transcribed by Gwyn Varozza and shared with her permission by Jan Jordan. Apparently, Dawson and Rachel Valentine Griffith and children were in Texas about 1866 as an advance party -- they predated the Wagon train -- were there others? To my children now in Texas could have been more than just Rachel....
