[/blockquote] This seems to be consistent with "Axem[Exum] Vick...and his brother Wylie "Willie" Ricks [Vick] had served in the 30th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry." on page 65 of the VICK FAMILY NEWSLETTER, VOLUME XVI, No. 4, OCTOBER 2000.
)"...Uncle Nathan Vick..." - Nathan Vick, older brother of William ("Capt. Billy") and Sarah Ann [Vick] Braswell?
)"...steam mill in Lexington owned by some of our kindred." - seems I saw something about this in an earlier E-mail message on VICK-L - anybody remember it?
)"Aunt Amanda" - Amanda Sarah Boyd, sister of Emiline Jane, Mary Caroline, Louisa Catherine, and Nancy Younge and James Lawrence Boyd.
)"Uncle Jimmie" - must be James Lawrence Boyd.
)"Aunt Nancy" - Nancy Younge [Boyd] Richey, grandmother of Homer Giluen Richey, who had the originals of the subject 'VICK LETTERS' - I believe I saw a letter from him to my Aunt Flora [Sikes]Hart in which he said the letters were going to the University of Virginia Library, where they possibly are now. If I still have a copy of the letter, I can't locate it, however, so don't know for sure. [/ul] [/size][/quote]
